Turnpike widening project ahead of schedule and under budget: "The widening, which is expected to come in at $2.4 billion — $300 million under budget — when it is complete in the spring of 2014, will add three additional lanes in each direction between Exits 6 and 8A, and one additional lane in each direction between Exits 8A and 9, according to turnpike officials."
