Wetlands mitigation in Meadowlands may take a hit from Christie killing tunnel: "EarthMark Mitigation Services is in the midst of a $25 million overhaul of a sizable portion of the Richard P. Kane Natural Area in Carlstadt and South Hackensack. It will transform 235 acres of the 587-acre tract into natural wildlife area that will increase marshland water flow, rid the area of invasive phragmites and plant millions of native grasses, trees and shrubs. EarthMark, which is leasing the land from the Meadowlands Conservation Trust (MCT) for $6 million over a five-year period, is banking.."
